Lewisville vs. Hebron (Week 8)
Preview By: David Haynes
The Lewisville Fighting Farmers travel to the Woodshed today to take on the Hebron Hawks. Game time is slated for 7:30pm with cool weather in the 50s and no rain.
The Farmers enter at 2-5 and 0-2 in the district while Hebron isn't far behind at 3-4 and 0-2 in district play. If either team wants a chance at the playoffs, they
must win at least two out of their next three games to have a solid chance.
Hebron is lead by QB Kyle Aubuchon who is 126-212-3 with 1,942 yards passing and 12 touchdowns. Their leading receivers are Kiante’ Griffin (512 yards, 8 TD's) and
Kurt Walker (493 yards, 3 TD's) but the Hawks are slightly more ground oriented and are lead by Dezmond Wortham who has 658 yards on 99 carries with 5 carries for
touchdowns. Aubuchon also has 553 yards on 110 carries and 8 touchdowns.
Lewisville kept it's game with Flower Mound fairly close early on last week but lost the momentum rather quickly once the defense had no answer for Flower Mound's poteet
aerial attack. Hebron won't quite be as dangerous through the air but their ground game should eat up a lot of yards and clock and probably won't give the Farmers
much time to operate. The Hawk defense has given up a lot of points this year and is somewhat suspect. It will probably be the weakest defense the Farmers have
gone up against since Grapevine so in theory they could keep the score close however I believe with it being a home game and a must win, Hebron will pull this game
out by at least 10 points.
Prediction: Hebron 38, Lewisville 28
